Basic Coloring Tips - A Text
so, lately ive been getting (almost daily) notes from deviants asking on coloring tips. and while i never mind helping others and thats one of the biggest foremost reasons im on dA, i find that im repeating a lot of the same basic tips. so i thought it might be helpful to some of you if i were to just make some of this general knowledge public and...whatnot.
so first thing i always get are people asking me how i pick colors?
first thing i always say is, color theory! and
that last one has a good little mind blowing point there. see the one showing the plant? "A color scheme based on analogous colors" a lot of people want to use just a lighter shade to color, or a darker one, sometimes using white or black (or burn and dodge, shame on you! lol) but the colors there are a more blue green through a yellow green, it changes shades and doing so makes it much more believab

It has been a few years again since I have updated my little slice of the internet here so I thought I might bring the world up to speed.

We moved from Baumholder, Germany in the spring of 2011. Luckily before we left my brother Brian and his wife Shosh were able to come visit us, travel a bit and hopefully experience Europe at long last. We went to Edinburgh, Scotland and Rome along with many German cities like Cologne and Trier. The Ferguson Clan moved to Augusta, Georgia (well, specifically Fort Gordon) so we were finally back in the States. I'll skip over most of it because we absolutely loathed it. The heat and humidity, still being far from family and friends, the racial tension, it just wasn't a pleasant three years.

Two major life happenings took place while we lived there though: My 28 year old brother Brian, for whom I have the utmost love for, committed suicide back home in Washington on the 23rd of November 2011 and mine and Stefanie's third child, Amelia Mae Ferguson, was born on the 1st of October 2012. Other than that I'd really like to forget about our stay in the American south.

Stefanie has gotten out of the US Army so we have since moved back to Washington state and are currently filling our time with college courses, kid raising and driving her parents crazy as we live with them now temporarily while we adjust back to civilian life.

It's good to be back; it's bad to be back. I miss Brian every day.
